Acceptance of these terms
By using njpainspine.com, referred to here as the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Site. We may revise these terms, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Continuing to use the Site after a revision means you accept it.
Medical disclaimer
Everything on this Site is general health information, written for education. It is not medical advice, and it is not a diagnosis. Reading it, filling in a form, or sending a message does not create a physician patient relationship between you and Dr. Ednan Sheikh or NJ Pain & Spine. That relationship begins when you are seen in one of our offices and accepted as a patient.
Do not use this Site to decide whether to start, stop or change a treatment. Talk to your own physician about your own case. Never delay seeking care, or disregard advice you have already been given, because of something you read here.
No emergency use
This Site is not monitored around the clock and is not a channel for urgent problems. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness in the groin and inner thighs are emergencies. Do not send a booking request or an email and wait for a reply.
Using the site
Content, ownership and links.
Accuracy of information
We keep the clinical content, office hours, addresses and insurance list current, and we correct errors when we find them. Even so, medicine changes, schedules change, and insurance networks change. We do not warrant that everything on the Site is complete or up to date at the moment you read it. Call the office to confirm anything you are going to rely on, including whether we participate in your plan.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs, video, graphics, layout and code on this Site belong to NJ Pain & Spine or to the people who licensed them to us. You may read the Site, print pages for your own reference, and share links to it. You may not copy, republish, sell or adapt the content for commercial use, or use our name or marks, without written permission.
Third party links
The Site links to other organizations, including Google Maps, YouTube, insurance carriers and our online booking system. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement. When you leave this Site, the terms and privacy policy of the destination apply.
Appointments and liability
Booking, limits and law.
Booking an appointment
A request submitted through the Site is a request, not a confirmed appointment. The office confirms every appointment by phone or email, and verifies your insurance before the visit. Give us accurate information, including your insurance details and medical history, since the visit depends on it. If you need to cancel, call at least 24 hours ahead so the slot can go to another patient.
Do not send protected health information through a web form or ordinary email unless you accept that neither channel is encrypted end to end. Call the office for anything sensitive.
Limitation of liability
The Site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent New Jersey law allows, NJ Pain & Spine is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, from reliance on its content, or from any interruption, error or malicious code. Nothing in this section limits liability for the care we actually provide to patients in our offices, which is governed by New Jersey medical malpractice law rather than by these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of the Site or these terms will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to that venue.
